They're scammers. If there were a warrant out for your arrest the police wouldn't call you in advance because then you could simply hide from them. Same with process servers. They just show up.
Just block and ignore their calls.
Just was called by this number. Left a VM saying, they are trying to talk to me about a legal matter in which my name and SS# have been attached to. Press 1 to speak to a paralegal or call back at 281-310-5672. Didn't mention my name though. Can you say bullsh** scam?!!
Received 2 vm's from this number both of which say the same thing as is stated by user: "Gary" .
The area code is out of Houston, TX., I have no outstanding debts, nor have I any history of financial delinquency. I called the number back from a different line and the woman who answered stated that I had reached "Legal Mediation Services" . I dont buy it, anybody who tries to contact you regarding debt or legal action should contact you by mail to inform you of the issue at hand, and should call in person and ask for you by name, not via an automated telephone system that conveys a vague and almost threatening message. I'll investigate further and post again.
I received a call from my aunt who got this call regarding myself. They (a lawyer) had told me I had a warrant out for my arrest unless I paid 1000 to a money gram before they go to court at 3pm. Called Courthouse and they have no record of that case number. I also made sure to call the police department and my record is clean. The police department stated it does sound like a scam and advised not to send any money. I can't believe people can do this. Someone should take action and find these people.
I got a call from this number yesterday leaving me a voicemail. My dad got a call from them today telling him I would be arrested. I call and they said they were Legal Mediation Services. I asked for John Anthony who was the one who called my dad. He stated he was an attorney for the state of texas and works for the federal office of financial regulations. So I looked him up on the bar website and couldn't find him.
