Called both my work and home (multiple times). He said he was from Wahlberg and Associates. Looked up this "company"...couldn't find anything with this area code. Anyone hear from this "company" or number?

Yes and they gave 3 different stories one to my husband and 2 diff stories to me. They also said they were out of ohio and the number is from texas. Then they also said they were a investigation firm and then a debt collector named wahlberg and associates. Then they were calling on behalf of a bank also. They wanted verification they are idiots.
