Called and stated he was from TX Hwy Patrol. Made reference to fallen officer. I've been scammed by them before. Told him I was not interested and he hung up in my face. How rude!
Caller wanted to raise funds for the family of DPS Trooper Scott Burns. I just started looking into this to see if it is legitimate or not. Looks like it is not. Trooper Burns died in 2008. I could have sworn the caller implied it just happened and they were trying to raise funds for the family. I'm not saying this family is not in need. Of that I have no idea. If I would give money, it would be directly to a fund run by the DPS for this purpose. Careful out there, folks!

In reality, it the caller is misrepresenting his, R. Garcia, message about what the organization does. Complain that the Attorney General of Texas and complain.
No message. Calls several times a day nearly daily. Call back and line is busy. Call later- no answer. Very annoying to have such calls several tiems a day een though we are on a "do not call" list
Hispanic man on the other end said his name was Joe Garcia. Didn't ask me to confirm who I was, thought he was someone else. He told me to believe what I want and hung up.
