Identified self as from Texas Highway Patrol. I asked, "Is this an emergency?" (I'm frightened because a family member is overdue for arrival) caller said "didn't mean to frighten you.." "We have an officer down ... "Why are you calling?" I said. Hung up.
The ID said TX Hwy Patrol A. I also answered in case it was an emergency. The caller said they were collecting money for a downed officer, gave a name (which I didn't note), and said they worked directly for the Highway Patrol, so no fees would be taken out of my donation. I'd get a mailer to send the funds to them directly. When I said I wasn't going to participate, he said "Why not?". I hung up.
Answered phone. Heard a voice say "shut your mouth young man or I will come over the desk and do it for you" when I kept saying hello, hello, they hung up. This type of phone call is very unnecessary and something should be done.
picked up phone and heard two men engaged in homosexual intercourse... one man kept moaning oh JAYY and the other moaning OH JOSH!! i didn't know what to make of it. pls stop calling me and [***] eachother.
I answered, the man asked for me by name, I said "Yes?" He said, "This is..." the phone clicked and we were disconnected. It was a little disturbing as the caller ID said "Tx Hwy Patrol A" and I had family on the road at the time, and I have family in the Houston area. I tried to call the number back three times, and it was busy every time. Maybe it is a fund-raising department for the Texas Highway Patrol, I hope??
