I got 3 calls from them today!!! I've worked in collections the last 7 1/2 yrs & one thing we can't do is call a number more than TWICE...they're breaking the law that protects the Consumer under the Fair Debt Collection Act. I don't have the blocker you do but I save the number as Collector or Collection and when it pops up on my display I just hang it up...kinda works the same! Unfortunately there's not much else we could do...there are just too many of these companies! Best advice is to NOT ANSWER and hang it up as soon as you see who it is! Call several times a day and makes threats on my answering machine. When I have talked to them and they refuse to listen to what I have to say and tell me that they can call everyday.
Tell them you've already reported them to the Fair Trade Commission because you know they're breaking several laws...first of all, when you tell them to STOP CALLING, the Fair Dept Collection Act state they they HAVE TO STOP. Matter of fact, tell them you've already consulted an attorney...they won't know any different...
