got a call from this number saying that I owe money and they are going to send the law to arrest me at my house or job after I ask them for their information they got mad and hung up on me I call back and they said don't call back I did and they said or you dumb or what and hung up I call back and asked them the same thing this is a scam trying to get money out of people. they don't want you to talk to them they want to do all the talking when you question them they get mad and hang up call back they hang up again
Received a phone call stating from Federal Crimes Investigations. Threats being made that the local authorities would be to my place of employment or home w/in 30 mins.. She could not tell anything about "how much" I owed and to "who" I owed....when I asked for her phone number, she hung up.

These people are a SCAM! I just called the real Baker & McKenzie law firm and she said they know about these scammers and they've brought in the authorities and we should do the same. BEWARE. These scammers hacked into a payday loan database and got all our info.
This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
