I just received a call today from this phone number. Same story as above. (Deep Indian accent) Said I was going to be prosecuted and they were going to put me in jail for check fraud.. I asked him what debt was this I have several but I am paying them off. He couldn't give me a name then I laughed at him, however I had to do a Google search and stumbled upon this site. I then called him back and strung him along and said I will pay but I only have cash you will need to come to my house to pick it up ($3000) He then said he can't do that that I could send a money order. I was trying to get an address but he figured out that I was going along with it and he hung up. I tried to call the number again tonight but it wouldn't ring. I reported the phone # and the scam to the FCC today. Hopefully they shut them down. What a joke
just had a call from 800 number but I wound up hanging up well they called back again but from a different 800 number and I didn't answer but they left me a message said they were gonna proceed with legal action if I don't call back by the end of tonight and they left the number 281-671-5347 and said they were calling from Baker and Mckenzie. I have no billls but my student loans and just prior got off the phone with them and am on a deferrement so no problem with them the rest of my bills are my utilities and no problem with them so I have no clue what kinda bill there claiming I owe but I am not calling them back after seeing all the other posts on here they have to be a fraud.
