Microsoft has never, and never will call their customers! these scammers called us last year too saying our compputer is sending out private information, so I tell them thats funny we dont have a computer and they hang up immediatly... haha never believe anyone who calls you! there is a new scam everyday
I just received a call from this number stating his name was 'Michael'. His accent was very strong and there was so much background noice I could barely understand him. He told me he was from Windows - in their technology department. They were getting errors from my computer. When I told him there wasn't anything wrong with my computer, he told me I wouldn't notice it. When I played along and asked him what he needed me to do, he said I would need ot sign on and he would lead me thru it. I told him there was no way and hung up. I've reported it since I'm on the Do Not Call list. But that doesn't seem to help much.
Seem this is from local scam artist...calls from India call center had been stop.
Look like they got the voters-list..it's illegal to obtain such document, not to say to use it for other purposes.

Just got a call (Toronto, ON) from thick-accented "Andrew" from Windows Tech Support Team. He said he was calling because of the viruses being reported by my computer. I called his a scam artist in a happy cheery tone. He said it was serious business. I called him a scammer again. He muttered something then hung up.
If I had the time I would have LOVED to string him along for as long as possible.
