Got a call at 8:00pm, caller ID listed as "Texas Call". Cross referencing does bring it up as a Houston, TX, cell phone. Caller asked for homeowners by name, stated correct address, said it was a "federal matter". When I started grilling him with questions, he stammered for answers. He got very flustered when I told him to send a federal agent to the house to discuss this federal matter with the homeowners. He is clearly not a federal agent. I'm not sure what his end game is, but it cannot be anything good. I hope this helps someone avoid any trouble from this caller.

Got a call from this number at 8:40pm, and the caller (a female) asked me if I was aware of the tax breaks for energy efficient upgrades to homes. (I responded yes.) Then she asked what my electric bill runs, and when I responded $600, she said that I definitely qualify for a tax break and that she'd send someone out to tour my home. She began asking several personal questions around service providers, etc. I asked her to repeat who she was with and why she was calling and she stammered several seconds before going back to the tax break line. I told her that I was well familiar with the tax breaks and I know that I do not qualify. She argued with me and told me that she knows people in TX with 6000 square foot homes who have $100/month electric bills in the summer. I told her I'd like to know what electric company they use, that I would consult my accountant regarding any potential tax breaks, and then hung up on her.
