Jr called from a Roma company. Very polite actually knew what he was doing...very rare for a cold-caller. He introduced himself and company also very rare.... as most individuals calling in demand to speak to the "BOSS". I realized we might have a need for his companies services. They help you collect on old debt. They are not in the business to burn bridges but to help in collecting some older accounts or new. As everyone is aware my goal is to report every call to help and identify so you are informed. Kudas to JR for a great job and I wish you luck.
had a guy, David Ross, call me from Roma, Kirshbaum & Schmidt claiming to be an attorney about a bad debt. I explained to him our situation, there were many factors as to why we had not paid this debt off, but had been making payments. He told me his client wanted it paid off and he was willing to make a settlement. He said he was speaking to his clients the next day and then would call me at 11am to let me know if the settlement amount he offered me, they would accept. I waited for 3 hours with no word. He did leave me a message later that evening, but said we had until the 20th of the month to resolve this. Being a small struggling business I had work planned both Friday and Monday and had planned to contact Mr Ross on Tues. Mr. Ross called our customer on Monday threatening them and saying they were responsible for our debt, which they are not. He also lied and told them some crazy story and said I told them they had never paid me. All of which wasn't true. He either heard every 3rd word and filled in the blanks or just rearranged everything I said to confuse our customer. Either way his client is not getting paid through him, our customer will never use us a again and we may have a lawsuit coming out of this. Putting us out of business doesn't get anyone paid. lying and giving me a week and then 3 days later calling my customer, which you had no right to do is unethical, not that I think they are ethical. I have called the licensing board in MD and no one can find a collection license. I am pursuing that with the state and looking into some federal laws that might have been broken as they shared my personal information without consent. If you owe a debt, don't talk to these people, called who you owe it to and work it out. Anything they say is a lie. If you are collecting debt, make sure they have a license in your area and if you just want to run someone out of business and not get your money, these are the guys to us. If you actually want your money, find another collections firm!!
Hi Patricia. Did you get anywhere on this? I looked up attorneys named David Ross in Texas and the only one I could find in Houston was disbarred in 2009!
Caller asking for our financial controller. Said she was from "RKS" and it was regarding a "financial matter". I've dealt with several of these debt recovery outfits when they cold call our company. I don't know what RKS is like, but every other one has been harassing, RUDE, and threatening, simply because they've been declined again and again as we have NO NEED for their type of "service". The woman I spoke with was vague but pushy and became rude when I told her that her call was not accepted. Typical. STOP WASTING OUR TIME. Call came from: 281-815-8032
