I received a call from this number today...stating that there is a law suit filed against me of money owed from a cash advance. I dont have any cash advances and they were demanding money from me. They called my cell and my work number. How are they getting my information?? This must stop!!
I received a call twice today, the second time left a message. I have received these type of phone scams recently, and usually just block with Mr. Number Call Block, but I thought I would call this one back and see. He claimed there was a case being levied against me by Cash America. This was the dead giveaway that it was a scam as I have never done business with them. He asked for my attorney's information and I wouldn't give it. He stated he was from 'Kerr & Hendershott'. I looked them up online and called their 866 number and they are aware of these scammers and have reported it.
I also received this call several times from this 281-816-4789. Claiming I owed money and they repeated my personal information from home addr, ss# and my bank. They claimed I owed Cash America money and it is on credit report. I told them I will call the company myself. They gave me 1866-978-9580 it is a human resource from Tenessee. I call the scam people back and they hung up twice on me. This is a scam and trying to scar people like us on a law suit they claimed.
2nd call received from these people. If they call i third time I have been told to give them the number of my local police department and now have that information ready.
