The FCC is busy allowing big carriers to merge, either into vertical or horizontal, monopolies.
Would not happen if the "business friendly" Party wasn't running the country most of the time. We desperately need more regulations in the communications fields. The FCC focus should be on protecting citizens and the big businesses can cool their heels.
What we need is simple and inexpressive. One 2-part law (that the phone carriers would dump $billions to stop).
1.) All phone carriers (landline, cell and internet) are required to provide their customers with a simple to use unlimited call block function that includes blocking country codes and area codes en masse.
2.) Lists of blocked numbers, with out the blocker's information, must be submitted to the FCC monthly and any carrier with an excessive amount of blocked numbers (numbers assigned to them) would get no new numbers (the numbers belong to the citizens of the U.S., not the carriers), and be monitored for some period of time. Continued failure to correct the problem would result in cancellation of all their numbers.
Question: Why doesn't this site have a "Call Type" for "Scam"?
At times my phone doesn't even ring but will show up with a missed call from 3010. I've never answered it, but I get a call every other day or even more often depending on the week... Help!
Received several calls from this number without any messages. I normally never answer a call from a number I don't know. I suffer from a TBI which has caused me to have a problem with numbers, when my phone rang from 3010 I remembered a few years ago I received a call from my electric company and it was a similar number so I answered. A guy with an Indian accent started to tell me he was calling about my computer problem. I don't have a computer and told him this, he was angry and started saying then why did you report a problem. I said I didn't, take me off your call list and hung up. Haven't received another call since
