Looks like the scam is still going on from this phone #, Same Indian accent sounding individual, attempting to get my Washington gas bill acct #...When I started asking questions, he wanted me to talk to his supervisor...Told him not to call my # again unless he was sending me a check...(:-)
I'm not sure if it's an actual scam or not but these types of calls have been making the rounds for a couple years now. We've gotten them about SMECO (our power company) and Washington Gas. Today was from someone that wanted to speak to us about our Washington Gas bill. He gave a name but it was a long Indian type name that I didn't understand nor would be able to reproduce on paper. You can tell it's a robocall by the delay/dead air while waiting for them to speak. The sad part is this is a legitimate number for our area so it's not obvious that it's a marketer. As soon as he uttered the words 'Washington Gas bill' I told him not to call again and hung up. Do yourself a favor and cut them off...don't fall for it.
