got the same pre-recorded message. I spoke with Indian accented who gave me a case number, his badge ID # then asked for last 4 of my SS. Then I said no - he said he couldn't give me any info without verifying mast 4 of my SS. I said no way he said okay - have a blessed day!

I got the same recorded message, claiming I was being sued and that I owed money, and they made several attempts to get ahold of me. My husband not knowing who this is...hit redial and the recorded message said...so and so is not in her office...and to please call back...and have a BLESSED DAY!!!
Excuse me...but the IRS is not going to tell you to have a blessed day! First off...if you owe money to the IRS, you will receive letters in the mail form the IRS, they don't call you.
I researched this number and it's not even legit...a computer generated number. If it were a actual business it would be listed. I even went to the IRS, US Treasury website...NOT THEIR NUMBER. Do not answer this call...it's a scam.
Betty, your comment was so funny. Got a call from same number, did not answer, but no message. The fact that they would not call you so that you could run just gave me the giggle for the day. Yes, can you imagine the FBI giving you advance warning!!! This scam is particularly heinous. I can't believe that someone would tell you that you have committed an offense. Major bad.
