apparently its some moving company out of Laurel, hmmm....shows up on my home phone "unknown" but has the #....here's the info I found online while doing a search...and...just wrote them to tell them STOP calling my dam house!!! of course not unless technology is proven that someone hacked their # but dont know if that is possible....still, very annoying!
2nd day in a row that they called. I answered this time, telling them that they had reached Joe's Meat Market and Nobody Beats My Meat...it was just a recording on the other end.
It is WCA claiming some BS as to why they are calling and telling you that you are a winner...If you go to the website [spam site] as stated in a comment above, there is a contact tab. The a phone number, that number being 800-269-0281. If you call that number, it is automated and you have 2 options...sorta. Option 1, to remove your consent to allow automated phone calls press 1 and then enter number....Option 2, to receive the full terms and service police press 2. If you press 2, first you will enter your phone number to be removed, then they will say after the beep to say clearly, your name, address and phone number again! Guess what happens after the beep? You are hung up on!!! Tried 3 times!!
So, I call the 301-242-5161 number back, and my phone number that I just got a call from no more than 10 minutes ago says this number is not a registered number! Really? Did you [***] just call me? This is complete and utter [***], and I do not understand how this is legal.
You are obviously a homophobic with hostility issues. While I am not a GAY [***], one should not show such indecent intolerance to other humans. Get a grip man. Your angry at telemarketers, so am I, but the name calling is just stupid
I agree with you, 'concerned.' Just because someone is obviously making prank phone calls, does not mean that he or she is a homosexual. Sexual orientation is a choice that people make on who that wish to have relationships with. It does not denote anything about what phone calls they may or may not make. While, I do not agree with being homosexuality, I do not judge those who do. That is their choice to make, not ours.
You are right in correcting the misinformed individual who blames homosexuals for repeatedly making prank phone calls. It is most annoying, but those of us who have received such calls should not stoop to name calling. We're no better than the pranksters when we do that. Instead, we should try to help those who are making the calls understand that if they want attention, or need someone to talk to, then they should find another way of obtaining telephone numbers for someone who would be willing to talk to them. I am sure there is more than enough information on the internet that could assist them.
Hopefully, the disgruntled individual read your post and will handle things a little differently next time a prank call is made to him or her. Hanging up is probably the best way to handle it if he or she cannot find a more positive way of handling such calls. As my mother used to say, "if you do not have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. That's pretty good advice if you ask me.
