Who called from 3012731115

Claims to be officer Nikki Johnson from IRS.

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Received a call from this number and it shows up as MD, USA.  I didn't answer it but they left a voicemail saying it was Officer Nikki Johnston with the IRS and that I should return the call before they take any action.  Obviously a scam.

Caller identified herself as Officer Nikki Johnson from the IRS. Said she would call back to give us a chance before they took any action. Scam.

Caller identified herself as Nikki from the IRS and that we should not ignore her call or the IRS would take action.  This is a scam. I did try to call back just for fun, the when you call the number, it doesn't work.  Must be outgoing only?
