At least once a day for past 3 or 4 days, caller ID says, "MULTIPLAN CORP." Usually as soon as you answer, the call disconnects. Today, when I picked up, I did not speak, just listened. After hearing some jostling, I said, "Hello?" A live woman's voice asked, "Is this the number for..." and she said the name of our business owner. I said, "Yes," and as I barely started my question about their previous calls, she hung up abruptly. Talk about rude.
I never bother answering these calls but on 10/2/15 the caller hung on my VM for about a minute and a half. I listened to the "message", there was obviously a person on the other end because I could hear them breathing, heavily. They didn't say anything, it was really creepy. I'm relieved to know it's Multiplan and not something more worrisome. They called again today but they hung up on the VM right away. I plan to block the number - easy enough to do. Caller ID says the call originates from Rockville, MD but doesn't list a caller name.
I called the provider service number, they apologized and said they would get out number out of their system. 800 950-7040 press star in menu selection.
