After I received the latest no-one-on-the-other-end call (Clarksville, MD 301-329-5066), I called our phone company and complained. The agent was very understanding and helpful. She provided two suggestions for me to try. First, contact the Unlawful Call Center at 800 518-5507 to report the no-one-on-the-other-end call number appearing on your phone or CID. If you want to try the agent's second suggestion, try the following:
-> after receiving the unwanted call, dial 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,#
-> and then repeat this same series of key dialing including the # key,
-> and then hang up.
I have not tried this process but will try it after I receive my next no-one-on-the-other-end call.
2 Dec 2015, called about some firefighters thing. They want to take a one year donation or charge your credit card every month. I know charities are exempt from do not call, but the end organization gets very little money. Donate directly if you want to donate.
These idiots won't stop calling even after you tell them to stop.
301-329-5066 called my cell phone and left no message. I called the number back and received a message that the number is not in service. Hardly sounds legit.
Claimed to be a representative of "the firefighters and paramedics association" asking for money. I live 5 miles from Clarksville and have been a career firefighter here for 30 years- I have never heard of this organization. Don't donate. Instead give to www.heroes.org . Legit charity.
