Just got an email from them saying I owe advance cash america 996.45. never have I borrowed from or heard of the company, say they are from acs legal group
I got calls from New York and California a few months ago also. They said they was sending the sheriff to arrest me. I told them that was fine and what hours I work so they could find me. Surprisingly (not) the sheriff never showed up.I got the same call the next day and 2 days after. They finally stopped calling when my husband called saying he was an attorney. They never called again.
I got the same e-mail saying I owe $663 from Cash Advance America. I knew it was a scam but called the number to have some fun. When a man with very heavy Indian accent answered, I said that I received an email concerning a legal matter. He said "are you going to send the money you owe". I asked how much and he gave me a different amount than was on the email, I said "How do you know how much I owe when I did not tell you who I am?" At that point he hung up on me. I tried to call back but it would either ring with no answer or someone would pick up and hang up.
I called from the phone at work and when he answered I asked for his mailing adress. When he asked what for, I told him that I spoke to an attorney (which I didnt do) and they need his information to discuss the matter. He hung up on me again.
I have reported this to the FTC and will alert the attorney general also.
Call them and harass them just like they are harassing us! Give them a dose of their own medicine!
me too i just recieve a email say i owe 992.89 if i don' t pay this amount my social security has been marked as red flag by us goverment from loan company advance cash america acs legal group collector,,, camon somebody has to stop this people try to my extortion. and the most funny part of the messege is the mode of the payment would be only through money pak or western union as we will not accept or any visa/master due to insecure payment gateway
I just a email for the $663.00. I know this is a scam #1 I have never done business with this or any company of its type #2 After carefully reading the email several times I can tell by the flow of the words that is what not written by a American. Pay attention to how this thing was written. I am sending it to my state Attorney General.
