These people have been calling me for a month. I have no business with Capitol One, nor do I have a mortgage and I keep telling them that. I'm getting ready to report them to the FCC, FTC, and Better Business Bureau in my area and in their area.
This is NOT spam. It's Capitol One calling to tell you you forgot to pay your mortgage. It's saved me fees twice now (I stopped my automatic BillPay for other reasons), so don't ignore this one.

Well, thanks for this page, but I just got a call, poor cell coverage wouldn't connect.
Called them back, and my mortgage payment hadn't reached them. Glad they called.

I do have a CapitalOne mortgage, but it is paid and up to date (it's done online, so I have an instant confirmation number). If this number is used to call those who are late, there could be a glitch in their system...but the number might be used to promote the company's other services. I don't know, because of the three calls I've received there has been no message left.
