These people are scammers. They have been calling me about something that I have proof I paid off. First I got contacted by another company about the same matter and so I decided to just go ahead and call the creditor direct. These scammers were adding $400 to the amount I actually owed and threatening me with criminal charges and all that. Just play crazy with them and tell them you're reporting their activity to the Attorney General in your state because they are breaking the Federal Fair Debt Collections act. They need to provide validation of the debt and they won't.
Receiving calls that say important matter and this is just one number they have used. I am on no call list and have filed a report with them and have contacted a attorney to file charges. Also have messaged them at both phone numbers to stop calls and have copies of those to for attorney.
