On 8/19/2015 @8:40pm. I received a call from a young man about asking me to do a survey about grocery shopping in my area. I told him that I wasn't interested. He replied that's ok have a good night. He was nice about it. On this day I went grocery shopping and for the first time at a super center and I'm sure that's how the guy obtain my number. He didn't ask to speak to anyone. I don't understand why he would call at 8:40 at night. I'm sure it was possibly a scam and/or telemarketer......
Charities, along with some Survey's and Political calls, are exempt from the DNC, however, they can still get into trouble for not placing you on a internal DNC when asked, you can also check your states laws in regards. Some states have different laws in regards to the calls, which can differ from the federal.
Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or less. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Report your callers here if they continue to call and harass:
Turnabout is fair play - just called them a row, repeatedly listening to their BS msg supposedly supplying a websitei "www.informationcntr.com' where our ph#'s can be removed. Maybe I suddenly became unable to type, because no such website really exists, nor do they exist under "The Information Center - Market Research" google search - A**holes! At least I may have tied up one of their lines a few times for what that's worth. -guess it's on to the FTC Report Do Not Call Violation Page. BTW, Market Research and Surveys - are they really the same? Isn't it political surveys that are exempt?
