My cell rang twice and when I picked up there was nothing but a strange tone beeping at me and then the line disconnected. It didn't sound like a Fax handshake tone. Obviously just another trash call.

Robocall, purported "survey" (unlikely).
"Quick questions: First, from where do you get most of your news? Press 1 for television; press 2 for newspapers; press 3 for internet; press 9 for others or unsure." They then disconnected without any other questions.
On the off chance it's a "legal" survey I'll wait "one." If they call again I'll report it to FTC and NoMoRobo.
Call came in at 2:52pm on 6/14/2014. Since it came up as Unknown Name I let the answering machine get it. I'm no longer picking up the phone as we are getting way too many robo calls even while being on the Do Not Call Registry. They didn't leave a message but hang up. If this is the case, just listen to what my answering machine says "If you are a solicitor, hang up we don't call you back".
