I got a phone call saying that it is from IRS and that I must call "right away". Nothing new....had the same phone call last year at the same time (after April 15th). The funniest is that we DO NOT put this phone number on our tax return. We have a house in a different state and the phone number they are calling is our APARTMENT number which we are renting at this time! :)
I also received a call from this number making the same claims. The pre-recorded voice called our home telephone number, but we use our cell phone numbers on our tax returns. Also, the IRS does not institute legal action as the first step if there is a problem with your taxes.
