This number called my house just now, yet again...for the 50th time. I'm always eeextra polite because I'm at their mercy (since I need them to remove up from their call lists). I waited and got a representative. I said "hi yes, please remove us from your lists this number is registered on the do not call list" and he said really rudely "oh really? Uh-huh" in a tone insinuating I was lying and told me he checked and my number isn't on the do not call list so too bad and hung up. This has happened with the same company so many times I can't count. I just triple checked and yes, the number they're calling IS registered on the do not call list. How is this legal? Even if it wasn't registered hypothetically, I have a right to not get harassed for fun at 9am every week. Can't wait until they call again so I can act interested enough to get the company's name and therefore, address ;)
The called my pay-as-you-go cell phone, which is registered on the do-not-call list. I don't give this number to anyone but family, so I don't know how they got it. I did not answer. I never answer calls on this phone that are not from family or someone I know.
Don't answer, just block the number. They don't leave a message if you don't pick up. And seriously - if you're getting more than 10 calls from a number, file a police report!
