They wanted to come around and give us LED lights and smart power strips to save electricity (for free through some deal with PEPCO). It wasn't the usual attempt to install the remote shutoff for the a/c that I assumed at first. If you want free LED lights, I think they'll give you up to 12.
This caller rang my landline this morning, and immediately after it rolled over to voicemail the phone rang again with the same caller-id. This is known behavior of some robo-callers trying to get around call blockers.
It's possible this is a legitimate call, looking for customer feedback re auto service I just had done. I don't answer calls from random numbers like this so I'm not sure.
Phone rang at 11:32 AM today, May 24, 2017, with the Caller ID showing: "301-750-8999 MD Initiative". I answered with: "If you are a telemarketer, I AM NOT INTERESTED!" After several seconds of silence, they hung up.
