I just received the same threatening phone call that I owe money and it was important to return their call or else they would press chargs against me. The number on caller ID was 301-880-1211 (Lexington Pa MD)
Call from the IRS criminal department saying they were charging me with fraud and other needed 5000 dollars by days end or they were pressing criminal charges
Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Got a call fron the 3018801211 claiming that they were the irs and that they were going to bring criminal charges against me unless I send them 5000.00 asap or go to jail. Do not send them a dime it is a scam.
