This number just called my spouse's cell phone and asked for me. Wanted me to give her (Jenna) the last 4 of my SSN and verify my birthdate. I refused both and asked what the matter was concerning and what firm she represented. She mumbled something about arbitration and said she would be sending a summons to my address. Funny thing is, the address she rattled off before terminating the call was an address I had about 5 years ago. When my spouse called them back, the lady first said (before she knew who was calling) that this was regarding suspicious account activity. Then the lady asked for the account number (which of course we didn't have) and then asked for the last 4 of my wife's SSN and her mother's maiden name and what have you. She was again refused, got snotty and indicated this time that it was for a criminal matter. I'm certain criminal arbitration is never done with an initiating phone call and quoting data that far out of date. Sounds to me like some spammer paid for bad data, what a pity. They gave the name of their "firm" as Allbright Arbitration or Albright Arbitration (or some permutation thereof, she refused to spell it). A search through the web revealed no such firm except for some firm in Shanghai. This call seems to be traceable back to Maryland. Further information will doubtless be forthcoming. Beware
Just had a voice mail left from a woman with a VERY heavy south african accent. I think she said her name was Sarah Jones??? hahah I could work out the words, hello, my name, something about fraudulent activity, Drivers Licence, ss#, after that I really couldn't understand much. Yea I am going to go with phishing phone call, I have added them to my blocked number list, I suggest you do the same. I am going to bet money it's a Spoof number to begin with.
