number is formatted as 1-302-130-350047, which initially led me to think it was a call from USA (302 is area code for Delaware and I have friends on the East Coast). but then i realised it is too many digits for a USA number. This website advised it is a call from Greece? I don't know anyone or have any business dealings with Greece. It had a long pause before caller spoke - making me think this is an autodialler? Caller had a 'foreign' accent and the line was very bad - could barely hear him over crackle and drop outs. hung up on him.
I was messaged by someone purporting to be working on board a supply ship and over the months he was very persuasive about wanting to meet me eventually but, in the meantime, he needed $120 for medical supplies and wanted me to transfer the money to his 'doctor'. Then his lawyer needed money from me to get papers from the court - all the time I pleaded poverty and was unable to send the money but he became more persuasive and made the mistake of asking for my mobile number which I gave him and when he called and blocked the number, I got on to Vodafone who confirmed it came from this number above. BEWARE
This number rang me today I never answered. But an unknown number keeps ringing me and when I answer is trying to get me to claim ppi I just hang up instantly. Any one the same?
