Definitely is SALLIE MAE.
The messages were hang ups and dial tones at first. Today some joker named Denise called three times in 5 mins. Left a message for two people and a hang up on the machine.
"I need to speak with you. I am your last chance at Sallie Mae." Blah blah blah
Gfy! How bout that! I already hit that [***] Sallie Mae, that [***] was lame! She got stank puss and it made me itch. I aint [***] that again!
It's Sallie Mae, student loan collectors. They are more than likely calling for someone that put you down as a reference on their student loans... Ridiculous.
I just got a call from this number at 66;28 pm Tuesday may 7, 2013, but did not answer the call because the line was busy. I called the number back and the person on the other end said to enter my social security number for security reasons. I hung up.
This sounds like a scam to me! Never give out your social security number to anyone on the telephone or other personal information because you have no idea in the world who made the call on the other end
