I forgot to mention the first thing we did was CANCEL THE CREDIT CARD, then we disputed the charges. The bank sent us a form to fill out to initiate the dispute. The bank re-imbursed me for the funds "temporarily" until the dispute is settled permanently.
Just had to charge back a $29.95 item listed on my ledger with this number and keep-help.com. was thinking visa could revoke their merchant account but am not sure how that works and don't want to invest the time to find out. This is as far as my do-gooder doings go with this. good luck to those who have trouble resolving. they shouldn't if it's a visa charge. take care
I also got charges from my account for 29.95 and 2.95 from keep help.com theres also another one called prize help.com they both charges the same thing. so watch out for this charges.
Same thing just happened to me. Noticed a charge of $2.95 from prize-help.com on friday, then sunday changed to $29.95 from same company. Called the bank and they started a dispute. Then they told me per visa regulations you have to contact the company & have them cancel the charge & get an authorization number. Dumbest thing I've ever heard of. I spent a good 20 minutes yelling at this girl trying to get her to understand these people STOLE my card number & I am NOT going to call them or give them ANY information. UGH. So frustrated. They canceled the check card & are sending a new one but I'm seriously thinking of changing banks.
