Who called from 3023428865

I was told by Kenny Green that they are an arbitration service and are threatening to take me to court if I don't pay them $1500.00   I asked them for a copy of the agreement between myself and this credit card company and they refused.  I don't know what this debt is and I can't find out any info on them or their phone number.  I filed a request from the BBB for info on this company and haven't received anything back yet.

I didn't have much luck finding anything but a company in Georgia that had it's charter dissolved.  Calling themselves arbitrators is a clever way to try to say they are not debt collectors.  The trouble for them is that the Supreme Court of the US says that they are.  so they must follow the FDCPA in this matter.  Here is the information that I can give you at this point:
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
