I got the yellow card in the mail too. I know there are people out there that get scared when they see signs like this one. My advise is always don't just look at the mail and react!. Read it twice and do a search on it if you are not sure. Also the first place to look for a company info is the Better Business Bureau. I did that with this company and they install water systems for house that don't have city water. This company had 45 complains in the last 3 years. They try to get you with a free water test at home. The way they advertise is deceiving, especially older people. Also, check for phone numbers that are registered as scam or telemarketers.
Scam or not it's junk. If the owner was on the level they would not be sending out misleading post cards. I doubt the tried to contact anyone for 72 hours.
When you do not clearly state what your intent is in your postcard, when you use veiled threats of urgency ("Please contact us within the next 72 hours" and "Water update"), when you outright lie in your mailing ("Unfortunately, we've been unable to contact you." ... Except, you have never tried because you are too cheap to pay for phone numbers from your scam mail list), when you provide a false NJ license number...
Card is a scam. In tiny letters at bottom of card they say there not a water utility everything else is in large black letters. Indicating they have been trying to reach me.
It IS a scam!!!! They are relentless callers attempting to get your hard earned money. They send misleading postcards to your home, making you think that it's your actual Water Company trying to get in contact with you about a problem -- when, in fact, all they are trying to do is to get you to call them so that they can fast-talk you into giving them money. Block their number and tear up the post card -- don't be fooled!
