Same Smith and Cohen that has been caling our number asking for a "Veronica Acosta" and finally saying that they are a collection agency. Being parnoid about scams, I called their number from another phone. Some guy with a strange accent answered. Sounded like a gangster. When this guy answered I gave him the name of the person that they are seeking, i.e., V eronica Acosta. Immediately the guy on the other end asked for my name and my phone number. I thought that was suspicious since I had already given him the name of the person that they are looking for. I told him that with the scams these days I will not give out that information. He said unless we get your number you will keep getting calls. Then he just hung up.
Another number called looking for some who doesn't live at the # the called. Said if I want to stop call a long distance #. This one number. Damn robo-call debt collector. Not until the end do they say they are a debt collector. I'll have to time the messages to see if they are within FCC regs. Hmmm, I think I'll try the new phone system I got and block the AHDC's ([***] hole Debt Collector).
This number has been calling our place of business for a person who doesn't even work here. When we asked them to remove our number we were hung up on. They do this everyone they are asked. When we ask to speak to a manger we are told they are out of the building.
They continue to call everyday and have even cursed at my employees when trying to tell them that the person they are looking for is someone we have never even heard of.
This is the most unprofessional SCAM I have ever dealt with.
I recorded our conversation (with the ignorant man cursing at me) and are turning it into the police. Hopefully we can press charges and take legal action against these idiots for harassing us all!!!!
