Got the Exact same call today... It was very inaudible and had to listen to it three time to really understand what it was saying. Briefly considered calling it back to screw with him.. How stupid do they think we are?
just received a call from this phone as well. Stating they were with the US Dept of Treasury. I have reported them. I told the representative that it was a scam and no way would I be sent to jail for 6 months. He said that there would be someone at my door in 45 minutes to arrest me. I called back and they hung up on me. Unbelievable..
Guy claiming to be from the IRS called from number 585-542-4195 but left a return number of 302-569-3017...said Federal legal actions were being taken if I didn't pay (today) $4451.58 for back taxes for 2012 due to an error. SCAM!!!
I got a recorded message from 302 5693012. I could barely make out that it was from David Grey. The message was so garbled, I had trouble even making out what he was saying...something about a federal crime and let us help you. The message repeated itself in part. I can't believe anyone who hears this message would take it seriously. Yet another scam calling a number on the so-called Do Not Call List!!!
