I got a call from them today. The person was a guy and I could barely hear him. He said a name I did not recognize so I asked again. Who are you calling?. He then responds with some smart [***] statement that was like " I said I was calling for this person and you asked me again and I told you when I started who I wanted." So I told him he called my phone not he other way around and his disrespectful A hole attitude was not gonna fly!! I told him to remove me from the list n I hung up. Never answer a call from this number! VERY RUDE!
Hmmmm, call from a lady in Az. She ask me if I was retire. Nope. Ask me what I do, told her. Then she hung up. WTH! It was some thing with Visa and Master Card?
I got a call from this number and I decided to hear the pitch and "play the game." The guy I spoke with was polite and said he was from "Cloud Merchant Network" and they knew I was a "preferred customer." After confirming that I was currently meeting the preferred customer status which means you have to be current with your credit card payments and have at least $2000 in available credit, he passed me on to a man named Richard Baker. He then told me that their company processes credit cards for the major credit card companies with only a 2% processing fee for the merchant, and about the opportunity to be setup to give their company business leads. He said I would be paid $500 for any business who signs up to have Cloud Merchant network do their credit card processing and I would also make residual income from any credit cards my referrals processed. Sounded too good to be true. They have a website, cloudmerchantnetwork.com, but it doesn't say anything about credit card processing. I did not find anything with the BBB in Wilmington, Delaware. The guy I spoke with explained that they needed my credit card number and expiration date to confirm that I was still in "preferred" status before I could be signed up to give them leads. This is where it got much too fishy for me... Then I said I wanted to simply sign up to process credit cards since I have my own business. This is where everything fell apart. They could not deal with having someone from the company actually work with me to set me up to process credit cards, which is exactly what they say their business does. All they wanted was to confirm my name, address and a legitimate credit card number with expiration date, and said that as long as I did not give them the 3-digit code, my credit card information could not be used. I assume they wanted this info so they could sell it... this is probably how they actually make their money.
