Got call today and when my wife answered they started talking about credit card stuff so she hung up. The spoofed ID came up Univ of Delaware. How is that for making you think it is an important call. Laws need to be changed so these scammers can't make youe caller ID give wrong information.
At 06:15 pm today, the call was from the Newark Delaware, number. The terrorist started by saying she was calling from the University of Delaware, and I said, "Thanks, for I have your phone number and now am recording your message in order to have the Attorney General of NY State investigate why you are calling my home."
She stammered a bit but hung up in seconds.
I've never had a connection with the U of Delaware and am a graduate of Columbia University, which I attended for free (using the GI Bill, having worked in Supreme Headquarters in Reims just down the corridor from General Eisenhower. The Nazis have been replaced by home-grown terrorists!
