The number supposedly belongs to Colorado Locksmith 24 x 7 in Brighton, Colorado. I didn't call a locksmith. No one in my household called a locksmith. I have no idea why they would call me.
Do not give to organization that cold calls you like that - they are a rip off and give the police and fire folks a bad name - let alone only giving very little $$ to the cause they are collecting for. Find a local charity to give to if you have too much money. By giving local you can see your donation in action.
3032199338 - Denver police fundraiser fake human bot caller. I would have donated, if they would not have been so disrespectful as to ring me with a computer auto bot pretending to be human. If you're using automated, please just say; This is an automated message fund raiser call. I absolutely refuse to give to anyone whom tries to have a computer trick me into having a conversation with them. What a joke. Police are discrediting their own cause by allowing a computer robot caller to engage in an illegal action of impersonating a person! Press charges on yourself.
Yeah, good notes there Heinz57. Actually they outsource outbound call duties to companies whom work exclusively with penalized and persons on probation or perole, etc. I used to know the name of the company, but forget now. They have so many issues with fraud, the employees are not allowed to bring pens to work! If people want to give, they should give in the boot or seek out the charitable organization to give to. Responding to solicitors is the surest way to waste money, regardless if it's charitable, non profit, or purely purchase sales based. The days of effective trust worthy phone sales are long since over and done for. Their apparent solution was to fire everyone, and have a robot pretend to be a human. Pathetic.
I heard about a scam like this on the Denver CBS affiliate, saying that police NEVER call to raise funds. If someone is calling for a donation to a police charity, it's most likely a scam.
