I got a phone call from this collection agency. I called the people I had the debt with and they said they had not put it on a collection agency yet, so they did not understand. I paid my debt directly with the people I owed money, but they kept calling and threaten me to put in on my credit report. They are very annoying. They also did not send me a bill directly from them because my address was not in the U.S. Because I live now in one of the territories, I still do not understand why they said my address did not exist. They also have this number 1-800-864-3870.
Blow it out your [***], dip stick....not everybody is making ends meet and when the choice boils down to putting food on the table and paying Billy's Karate lessons....Food wins. Collection agencies don't need to call you every 3 hours, especially when you've told them you are out of work and there's nothing coming in. So what do they do? Keep on calling you.
Actually, you should not pay anything to these creeps until they verify your debt in writing. Most of these people are what are called Zombie Debt Collectors. They try to collect money that, by law, is no longer owed. Check your state laws before you ever talk to them. Find out what your statute of limitations is. For example, in Texas, the debt is only valid for four years from the date that the debt became delinquent. These collection agencies buy old outdated debts that are not legally collectable. A debt that is past the statutory time limit is not a debt. It's gone. You no longer owe it. Period. Don't play their game. Find out your rights and then SUE THEM! If consumers make it so expensive for them to attempt to harrass consumers, they will be forced to stop.

I pay my bills. But I refuse to pay the bills of my ex husband who passed away three months ago. It's hard enough to take care of my kids now, but now I have to mourn a man who I really did care about, and to get harrassed by these rude people is over the line.
