Someone with a Middle Eastern accent called saying that he was from Hewlett Packard and that they have been receiving errors from my computer. I stopped him right there and told him that it was a scam and to f*** off. I am aware of this con where they call and tell you that your computer is sending them errors and they have to dial into your computer to fix it. DON'T FALL FOR THIS!!!
True! They keep changing their phone numbers and they keep calling about my HP computer that is emitting errors. I am a computer tech and I tell them that do they realize that few people in the USA are rich, and when they scam people their children probably go hungry because of their call.
Repeated calls from multiple persons with Indian accents claiming to be from Hewlett Packard regarding virus on my HP. An interesting note is that I had hinges repaired on my laptop and they had all the data from that repair. This tells me someone within HP or a third-party vendor with HP is selling HP client lists. The end result of these calls is to get on your computer and sign you up to a "security" agreement.
I am certain the caller is from India not middle eastern, and they are part of the same group who use to impersonate as IRS. They just called and when i picked up call by mistake was speaking to someone in background
