This same number calls everyday, sometimes twice a day. If you pick up it is a recording for the WV Cancer society, or at time is for the seniors heath care. On the caller ID it shows up W Virginia Call. I tried to call the number back several times and got a busy signal. I just want these idiots to stop calling me. So, if anyone finds a way to reach them let me know. I did call the National Do Not Call Registry and set up our home phone to stop telemarketers from calling me altogether, but it takes thirty days for it to take effect. At the very least it is an option for you.
Mike don't get your hopes too high for the do not call registry. It will not block or stop any of your unwanted calls. It was set up by the FTC in order that legitimate Telemarketing companies would have a list of people who do not wish to be called. That's all. You name will be simply placed on a list that will be used to update Registered Telemarketers files each 30 days. The rest is up to the honor stystem of those Telemarketes. And in most instances, those legitimate telemarketers do honor this list. Most of the complaints registered are for scammers, scofflaws, and simply unwanted callers. When in reality, those complaints are not valid under the DNC. Some are passed to the FTC or FCC proper for further handling. Most callers, including the one that you are dealing with now, will not be affected by the DNC. Many seem to believe that the DNC will give them immunity to all unwanted calls. It will not. It is only a list for Telemarketers.

I have been on the "no Call list for several years, but I get this call also. I do not answer the phone in person always use recorder and no one answers. they just hang up. tried to call back, verizon says number disconnected. but I still get calls from this number 4-5 times a week. so much for the "do not call list"
