I was selling my iPhone 4 of Craigslist and got a text from a number 340 508 8348Is still up for sale?iPhone 4 sprint - $325 (Baltic ohio)
(1/2)Ok i just want to tell you that i want to buy it for my cousin who is now in oversea and then i would like to make the payment for you through paypal so (2/2)back to me with your paypal email id for the payment,i ll add $100 for shipping via usps post office
These idiots are from Africa and trying to scam Americans. They will text you about your craigslist ad saying they want to buy your item and it be shipped overseas. It is a scam, they ask for your email then give you instructions about the shipping. Instead of paying your paypal account, they send you a fake email looking like a paypay invoice. If you look at the email closely you will see its not really from paypal but a stupid Nigerian scamming [***].

I also received a message from this number for my iphone that is being sold on Craigslist. He said that it was for his cousin who "is now in oversea and then I would like to make the payment for you through paypal so back to me with your paypal email id for the payment, i'll add $90 for shipping via usps post office."
