called me saying that our dad was involved in a car accident where he crashed into his '87 chevy while driving on the panama highway and he was now held hostage at "hola spot post" in west mexico, and we needed 2 send a box with 99€ in it to teh base.
A spanish-speaking male called me right now and told me my sister had gotten into a car accident with friends in the car and now are being held at gun point in a hotel room in Miami. If i didnt pay for the damages, he would kill her!!! and just kept repeating he would kill her!!! Finally after some time of freaking out trying to get a hold of her and calling the police, she called me back and was safe at work. The police expressed this is an ONGOING EXTORTION SCAM and Investigation!!! I Cannot Express the Feelings I have just Encouter. Please Share this with everyone you know!! It is NO JOKE!
I feel you. when this idiot also called me, i wish i had the ability to make him confetti. How could people like this exist? May God have mercy over him.

This guy claimed to have my brother and that he had a shot gun to his head and I have to pay money to release him. I started laughing cause I didn't know what else to do; my brother had died 43 years ago.
Got a call today from this Spanish speaking male claiming to be a delinquent from Puerto Rico. He said my sister had hit his car and was being held in his friend's apartment. I said okay, lets go through insurance. Where are you? He stated that I did not understand that my sister was going to be killed if I did not comply. After he repeated he was going to kill my sister countless times and I did not say yes to give him the money, he said okay that's it, Kill her now. I alerted the local police of this phone number and the threats made by the caller. II was able to call my sister and she is fine. Do not be scammed!!!! Contact your local police and file a report. Hopefully they will catch him and his group!
