called and said I will be sued by a magistrate judge, and a federal agent will come to my home and arrest me for taxes not paid from 2008-2013. This was left on my voicemail. I called the number back was told I was speaking to agent ADAMS ID Badge#S1193. Said I owed 400.97. I told them I wanted this stated in a letter, she said after I paid, they would send a letter. Spoke to IRS in NYS and they do not demand anything by phone. THIS IS A SCAM, DO NOT PAY.
Don't answer. Said if I didn't call them back at that number it would be my second warning or something. Don't fall for it. Automated man on the line kind of threatened me so... That happened. It's a scam. If the IRS wanted to contact you, they wouldn't have you call them back. Ignored.
So yea, I couldn't understand what the lady was trying to ask for but she had a thick accent I think Indian? Anyhows, she said that they were with the IRS. And she had my address on file I don't know how to be honest..and then she kept trying to verify it was me that they were talking to.
