From the number 305-368-8859. A recording come son when I answer. "This is a call about your credit card". If you would like to receive a new interest rate as low as 6%, press 9.
When I pressed 9, a man speaking pakistani said something in his language and ,added hello, who am I speaking to? I said - I did not understand anything you just said. He hung up on me. When I dialed the number on my caller ID, it is a constant busy signal.
I just got a call from this number, but no message was left. The caller ID said, "Unavailable." I am on both State and National "Do Not Call" lists. After reading some of the other comments left on this site I have blocked all future calls from this number. THANK YOU, 800Notes!
I just got one of these junk calls for lower credit card rates. I told the "sales rep" to whom I was transferred that I would have to "find" my credit card, and I strung him along for about 10 minutes. When he found out, he went into a profanity-laced tirade and complained that I had wasted his employer's time and money. I replied that that is exactly what I intended to do and, if he didn't like it, he should not call numbers on the Do Not Call list.
He could have been Pakistani; he did not sound like an American. The calling number was almost certainly spoofed, as I got a rapid beeping noise when I called it back to verify it for a Do Not Call complaint.
The best thing to do with these vermin is to pretend that you have a lot of credit card debt, with a high interest rate. Then tell them you have to "find" your credit card. I think one of these "Rachel from Cardholder Services" clones tried to discourage that by making you wait to talk to a representative (I just hang up at that point), but they also discourage people from whom they might actually be able to steal credit card information. It cuts both ways.
