I got this call on my cell phone and we are on THE DO NOT CALL LIST (what a joke)....1-305-407-3145. It was a slow speaking woman stating that she was from the IRS... we are to attend to this matter now so that the sheriff don't come to the house and arrest us for not filing our taxes... then at the end of the call she says HAVE A NICE DAY.... give me a break....IRS don't call you anymore than the man in the moon...
Said it was Nicky or Micky from the IRS. Called back to be able to provide info to all of us on this scam.. The man with an accent wanted my attorney info, I said I didn't need any as I have no case with the IRS and have received nothing in the mail. He said they would send the paperwork to the local Sheriff. I said go ahead and he hung up on me. Total scam. I don't even know how much they were going to try and get out if me. Remember the IRS will always send paperwork in the mail to you.
I just got a phone call from this message and I called it back and they're saying that the IRS and that I owe them over $7,000 in back taxes and that I have unlawfully filed my taxes for the last several years and that they're taking me to court for over $45,000 I have gone to H&R Block and all these other places for the last few years to get my taxes done there ain't no way that they overdid my account by $7,000 total [***] the IRS doesn't make phone calls like this. If the IRS wants to get ahold of you they send a letter to your house and they're telling me this is from the last several years there was something against me I would have gotten something in the mail not a robotic phone call and then when you call the person back it's definitely a foreigner.
