I got the same thing. From 702.847.0477. I am unsure of what the scam is but I closed my PayPal account. It seems like he must have a way to get into it from those 4 prices of information, plus they started charging me to pay people. I will stick to apple pay
I posted my husbands motorcycle for sale and got a reply from a Sholey Evans. See below. He's still up to his schemes. Thank goodness I went with my gut feeling to not share information. Never again!
Hello thanks for the pics, I'm interested in your Honda Cbr and
I'm okay with the asking price, will love to go ahead with the deal
right away because this meets my perfect search for time being now,
I'm on duty now, so coming to your residence for inspection won't be
possible, so you have to assure me that its in condition described.
You may now consider me a favorite buyer and if possible withdraw the
posting from the site immediately so that I can be rest assured that
it is all mine.
Like I said earlier, I'm very busy with my job, as I work as a
geophysical investigator and am currently in the mountain until
November 25th, so I will be paying you on line via my PayPal account
which is attached to my bank account because it is the only form of
payment that I have access to right now and also because of its good
security nature. If you are interested in selling it please provide me
with the following information:
1) Your full name
2) PayPal email address,
3) Address for pick up
4) Your personal mobile #
Kindly get back to me with the required for us to proceed,You will not
be responsible for the shipping as shipping agent will be coming over
to your address for the pick up after I have made the payment and you
have received the confirmation of Payment from PayPal. Do hope to read
from you.
This is the exact same message I received. Do not fall for this scam. I am selling a Harley Davidson and got the exact same email as all of you. I just hope other that are smart enough to check something like this out before even responding. Someone who is will to pay a large some for an item unseen with absolutely no negotiations or even proof the item exist should be something questionable. When you search the name Sholey Evans on Google and the name pops up well there's your answer it not his first rodeo. By the way I got a 702 area code for his number just a FYI
Same here, but # was 619-720-4819, said his name is Mason. 619 is San Diego area. My ad's in Dallas - immediate red flag. I don't do emails anymore because of this kind of crap.
