Someone called from this number asking for my social security number!

Claims to be Jacob Schwarz of Haines and Associates.  He is preparing a civil complaint, "attached to your name and SSN", for a client of his firm.  He wants to give me the details of the complaint "before it is released," and I am to call this number ASAP.

Oh, really?  How many people would have my SSN?  And why would someone who wants to file a civil complaint have it prepared and filed by a firm that's all the way across the country?

I've found another complaint elsewhere by a guy who got exactly the same message, says it's spam.

Betcha it's a collection agency.

Betcha it's a bunch of scammers.  The foreign extortionist scammers are especially fond of saying there's a complaint "attached to your name and SSN".

I received the exact same message from the exact same person. Definitely a debt collector, but the question is, which one?
