Antonio is the one who called me...it is a scam...hey they will try to add interest to their "service" fee...be careful, do not let them record your voice, by the way...even if your voice is "recorded" in the state of Florida it is not binding....
SCAMMER! Lady calls saying her name is Donna Summers, and says she needs my credit card info to rebill my Google account. She claims I opened an account with her company, "ESI" last year in May. It's about to expire and my listing will be deleted on Google, Yahoo and Bing if I dont renew. I only opened this buisness Feb of this year.
Just got a call from this number - presumably from "Simplified Online Search" - search engine optimization company. (looked them up online - they don't exist) They were wanting to know if I wanted to renew my company online subscription or cancel. They were basically telling me that I joined last year - that if I wanted to cancel I had to pay $479 (because they never billed me when I joined - honestly didn't remember joining) or if I wanted to renew they would afford me a discount 2yr $289. Looking for info regarding how to pay, etc. when they told me $479, I told them to send me all the documentation showing that I joined and whom I spoke to and what I signed or acknowledge having signed. (This during the "verification" process of my info - which of course, they didn't get any more than what they already had i,e, the name of my company, address and phone) At this point they were arguing with me sayiing that since this was a year ago I didn't remember - rest assured I would have remembered $479!!!! I would NEVER have agreed to this. Supposedly a rep is going to call me back. (about 1/2hr has gone by since the call). Don't believe this for one minute!
I got the same call, today, from these scumbags that don't exist. I would never singed up for something like that, I always do my research before I spend almost $500. Don't give them a penny. Does anyone know who should I report them to?
I received a second call from these scammers at Simplified Online Search in Florida. They wanted to know if I wanted to extend my listing with them. They called me last month on March 12, 2012 and said we signed up for a subscription to their service and we owed them $479. I told him we would never do that and they insisted that one of our employees gave her authorization over the phone. I supposedly cancelled the subscription with someone named Jackie in the verification department which took 5 recorded tries. Today, April 26, an Antonio Ransome (appropriate name) called again. He told me there was a glitch in the software and I would have to put in a cancellation order again. I hung up and he called me back and asked me to wait for their verification department. When the person came on the line, I told her I already had a cancellation number. She asked for it and then hung up. What's the deal with these people?
