Just got a call from an "Officer Eric Johnson" asking to speak with a Bobby (Unaudible). First, they sounded like they were calling from a call center. Second, the call center sounded like one of those over seas centers.
As he was on the phone, I googled the number and found this site. I said to him, "So, you're calling me from 305-712-3849 correct?" He confirmed it and I said, "According to a search, you're calling to scam someone." He said, "ya" (which he did alot considering English isn't his 1st language). I found that to be funny and said, "Ok, so you are calling to scam, thank you" and I hung up.
i received a call from a Gary Smith at Legal Affidavit Processing department. they gave me a case number and said that i needed to pay 500 dollars. i looked the number up and found out it was a scam. i read online that they don't like to be called untouchables witch is a name for a scumbag in india which verified the scam don't let them intimidate you.
I got a call from this number too and the same heavy over seas accent man, who identified himself as Gary Smith, threatened me with the same script of owing them money. This has happened to me before unfortunately and after a lot of calls back and forth I learned it is a scam. They got my information from me applying for a payday loan over the internet. And that is what they claim I owe for, an unpaid payday loan. Which I didn't even take a loan out only looked into it and said I owed this loan since 2008. Funny I have never taken out a payday loan. I was told that if I didn't pay the $3000+ dollars I owed them that I would receive my court papers in 2-3 weeks. It's been over 4 months and yeah...still nothing. They are scammers!!!! Preying on "not so smart" people.
